Default Customs and Border Protection (CBP) National Career Day

If you're near Seattle or YVR, you might want to stop at Blaine and chat with the fine folks at CBP. It's Saturday, January 31, 2009. There are 14 other locations.

Local News | Help Wanted: Customs and Border Protection aims to fill 11,000 national positions | Seattle Times Newspaper

How many openings: 11,000 jobs nationwide
What positions: 8,000 front-line law-enforcement jobs; 3,000 support posts

Pay: Varies with job. Border Patrol agents (about 4,000 openings) start at a base salary of $38,000 to $48,000; overtime pay is extra.

Requirements: Varies with job. Border Patrol agent applicants must be U.S. citizens under 40, pass a background investigation, medical check and fitness test, and be fluent in, or able to learn, Spanish.

They get around it by linking it with not being able to get a full retirement unless you have 20 years in.

where are the rest of the locations?? anyone?
