Default Cape Air

I work as a CFI south of Boston and was just listening to the radio. Cape Air called his base to P-town. Unknown aircraft calls "you hiring cape air?" Cape Air replies, "yup, i'll be on the ground in 3 minutes if you have a resume." Can't get any simpler than that.

Cape Air is funny. I had a high time buddy apply because he just wanted work near home. They didn't want him because he was too experienced. It sounds like a fun gig. Especially if you can migrate to the Caribbean during the season.

Id love to go there but unfortunately id have to be guaranteed BOS and than guaranteed not to move since its not a commutable job which certainly does not fit their culture.

Aviator-Times are tough right now, I dont think 600TT is enough hours for a student pilot certificate anymore. I think we are all stuck where we are for a LONG time.

We have a whole spectrum of pilots from retired/furloughed airline guys with thousands upon thousands of hours. Seem strange that he was too experienced for the job.

Yeah... I gave him a hard time about that one.. Likely story I think he just applied when they weren't looking very hard..
