Default Pilot Safety Symposium and Job Fair

Our friends at FltOps.com are hosting another event in New York (LGA) on Saturday, November 21st. This event will be a little different than the past Job Fairs in that the panel of speakers will addressing aviation safety. Of course it's still a job fair with several airlines represented.

Here's our post with more info:

Looks real interesting, especially since I'd be thrilled to get picked up by JetBlue or Compass. Thanks for posting. I imagine the companies wouldn't come to the events if they didn't find them a useful way to meet applicants face to face. For those already hired on with Compass or JetBlue, is the cost worth while (airline tickets, hotel, conference fees) or would an applicant get just as far applying online?

I think it would be difficult for anyone to answer "is it worth it" for you.

The opportunity to get face time and ask any questions you may have with several airlines in one afternoon is a great advantage. Getting hiring information (or a prelim interview) directly from a HR rep is very valuable. What price is put put on that value most likely varies by individual.

Should you meet the same dress code you would at a job interview? Anything to bring besides resumes?

The Flt Ops job fair dress code has traditionally been business casual, check the link above for current details.
