Default Colgan is hiring

This maybe old news to some, but I was on Colgan today and was told they are hiring, accepting apps, and just had a class finish of FOs, this was news to me, anyone have ideas on mins?

Airline Applications

Requirements for Position: First Officer
  • Commercial License or Air Transport Pilot Certificate.
  • 1000 Hours Total Time.
  • 100 multi-engine
  • Multi-Engine Current & Instrument Current
  • Currently hold a FAA First Class Medical Certificate
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or have authorization to work in the U.S. as defined in the Immigrations Act of 1986
  • Ability to work with the public and under stressful conditions.
  • Must be able and willing to relocate to assigned bases.
  • Be willing to accept and work with changes in scheduling, including work on holidays and weekends.
  • No felony convictions.
  • Be willing to take a drug test

If we're not hiring immediately, we will be hiring in a few months as we start to ramp up for the new aircraft deliveries that will start mid-late next year. It will probably start of with a lot of recommendations, and when we run out of those, they'll grab off the street.

ya I need a few more hours to break 1k, then need to spend some time in the otter and king air and I will have the MINS, they doesnt help in this market im guessing

Just FYI colgan isnt hiring right now...their airline apps definitely says "Hiring Status: Colgan Air is not hiring pilots at this time" Im sure they will sometime in the near future though

We aren't hiring at the moment but will be starting in early spring. As for when and how.... well... they treat us like mushrooms....

In the requirements,they forgot to mention ability to accept low pay. Janitors make more than pilots, how is that possible?
