Is there still hope for me?!

So here I am I my soapbox . . . . WHAT DO YOU WANT TO DO????
Stick with Aviation or leave it? I was in a similar dilema a few months back on hard times, but one of the most important suggestions I can make it education and goal setting. What type of flying do you want to do?
I ran into this about a year ago on trying to get into an Air Ambulance outfit. In order to make myself more marketable (who wants to hire a green 22 year old punk with a Citation type and 1,300 hours?).
I decided to finish my Aviation Administration degree and take on part-time firefighting and EMS in the community. Taking this on and earning EMT and FF helped establish that I was serious about the position and allowed me to gain entry a potential full-time job.
If you want to do coporate - try starting off in a business professional position and flying part time.
All I got bud - hope it works. Just keep trying - it can't be a crappy economy forever.

Just keep in mind in many states a cdl lowers your legal bac even when driving on your time. In nj it lowers you to .06 just because you have a cdl. I heard its as low as .04 in one state. Would suck to get a dui at .05 after a beer, just to do a few weeks of parttime work, or attempt to, and kiss flying goodbye. Just my 2 cents.

Try to get a job with UPS or FedEx doing ANYTHING! Sling boxes, work the counter, drive the truck, work the ramp. Do anything they offer you as long as the paycheck says "UPS" or "FedEx" on it. Don't make a big deal about being a pilot. You're just a guy who needs a job. Do your job well and after being their a while make it known that you'd love to get into the flight ops side of things. Those guys love to hire from inside the company.
Also, renew your CFI! It's an easy process and it gives you another potential income.
