Talking CHQ gets 44 ERJ's!

7/21/06, "Chautauqua airlines selected by continental airlines to operate 44 Regional Jets"

I interviewed on July 12th and got a letter about a week ago saying i was in the pool. 2 hours after this press release went out, got a call for the 145 class on Aug. 3rd.

I would believe they will hire like mad...Get in there!

We're all really proud of you. I wonder if the XJet guys are gonna throw a big welcoming party for you in EWR, CLE, and IAH.

Go get a real contract!!!

Hopefully the XJet and other regionals with a respectable contract will get all the major airline slots. When you sit at S--- qua for a while and realize that maybe staying at mommy and daddys house for an extra 10 yrs. til you get that call from UPS or whatever was't the respectable thing to do.

While you are there, please get a real contract!

I am sorry but this job is turning me into a real lemon sucker. My wife is looking over my shoulder telling me to grow up.

I did walk for 89 days to see a particular airline take a subpar contract to take our flying.

Congrats!

Name me one respectable regional that hasn't taken it in the shorts from these low cost scumco's? Maybe Horizon, yet? Piedmont, Alleghany, Air Wis, Atlantic Coast, ASA, now XJT. The sad thing is that regionals will always be at the whim of the company they are supplying feed to. The majors know that if they keep shifting regionals every few years, they can keep pilots on the lower scales and save themselves money and keep them in constant fear of loosing their job. The only ones to have the stones to tell them to stick it are Comair and Atlantic Coast. And we all know where that got them. But ALPA will never step into that fight.

whats the deal with their bad contract, i just looked at their payscales and the look middle of the road as compared to other regionals, not the best and not the worst, what else are they lacking in?

That is not really the industry consesus. Your buddy is most likely a Kool-aid drinker...

It's because all of the respectable ones have been brought down to their level or eliminated.
