I can't speak for 9e, but I would take a hard look at considering Colgan right now. The training department is a nightmare. Things are more disorganized than ever and in terms of personnel, the turnover is surprising. The logistics and scheduling part of the training department is run with complete incompetence and candidates are treated poorly at best. You are put at a disadvantage from the beginning, not how you want to start your career.
Mesaba will be taking over the training soon and from personnel experience I can tell you it is top notch.

All true, and putting it mildly, at best! On the other hand, making Colgan your first airline probably gives you your best chance at maintaining your sanity while working there. Lacking perspective or a basis for comparison when the company hands you your "Pilot Candidate" training badge, holds you hostage in Memphis for six to eight weeks, and can't tell you what you'll be doing from one day to the next (because they don't know either), puts you at a psychological advantage. But it's an airline, so this must just be how things go...

One seniority list to rule them all!
Whatever your seniority can hold you can do.
All new hires in the near future will go through the same hiring process.
The only difference a pilot should see is whether or not he/she says "Flagship" or "Mesaba" when talking to ATC.
Other than that it's all one company as far as pilots are concerned.

Right then.
I have an interview in Eagan MN in two weeks. What company would that be for? Pinnacle and Colgan on the letter head. Mesaba corporate adress. Voice on the other end of the phone said Colgan.
Really just want to know which gouge to focus on and which corporate history to learn.
If I manage to keep my foot out of my mouth long enough to get the job. Where is training? Which contract, pay rates, etc.
I know you guys are still working it all out. Just want to be prepared.
TIA

If they said Colgan, I'd plan on Colgan, soon to be Mesaba. We're still on separate lists but the SLI is coming, we're headed that way most ricky tick. Ground is in Memphis, sim will depend on which airplane you are given. If the TA goes through and most people including myself think it will, it may change things for you since you'd be in class after it went into place but they'll be good changes. As far as pay rates, again that will depend on which airplane you get but look at the TA if you can find it and you'll know what you can expect based on that.
