How were you able to review your online app?

Just curious, how did you know you were shot down? By status on the website? By phone call? After interview?

I have heard internally it takes 5 out of 6.

1. Check Airmen
2. Type currently operated by airways
3. PIC time (1K PIC, Turbine, 121)
4. Instructor or Training Dept 121 time.
5. 4000+ TT
6. Internal REC

I had 3 out of the 6 you listed. I know a couple guys hired last month without any of the 6.

I met 1 of 6 (4000+ TT) and was called for an interview last month. Pulled out because I'd already taken another job.

I had 4 of 6 and they hired me. If you've been successful in a prior 121 or military training environment, I doubt they have any major concerns about your ability to complete training here. I was typed on the 170/190 before starting here, but that made almost zero difference in the training program versus my classmates who'd never flown the airplane. Under the US AQP training program, the only difference for a previously typed trainee is that your SPV (oral) can be given by a ground instructor instead of a check airman.

They are partial to those with turbine PIC (especially 121 and/or military), and strongly prefer folks with four-year degrees.

Anyone know the projected hiring that suppossedly will occur through 2012 and into 2013? Was the hiring window opened only for new hires into the Emb 190?

They say only the 190 but new hires end up going where there are openings.

When I was in training 4 months ago the word I kept hearing was 20 to 30 a month this year. 2013 would be all speculation this early, but if I were to guess I would say the same if not more with all the upcoming retirements.
