They are currently not hiring. Those who got one or both rejection letters still have active profiles at pilotcredentials.com. Incidently, both Fedex and SWA use PC and they both may be worse off for it. May have cost Fedex SCP his job.

Every individual hired was current in 737.

In a year maybe the worm turns.

Not true.. My buddy who got hired got the type 2 yrs ago and never flew the plane otherwise. He was mil. Background though so maybe that helped.

Diesel,

Interesting. I suspect when all is said and done pilotcredentials.com and the folks who massaged the lists generated by PC will have some serious "splainin' to do.

In court...

My buddy who got hired on the last round was not current in the 73. He got the type 4 years ago, and never flew the jet.

Type, 7000+ hours on the airplane (left and right seat) and currently flying the type but no call. Oh well!

ha. I'm sure there were a few that got through the latest hiring that have never really flown the 737. I had also heard from others that they were only hiring folks that were current ?

From the way it was explained to me they needed those hired in the spring in class ASAP. That's why they were only hiring those who already had the type. I know of a few who were hired with the type but without any time in the a/c. I've heard rumors of them removing the 737 type requirement altogether, but at this point it's all speculation. I think a lot depends on the integration and what ends up happening with the 717s.
