I got the regrets e-mail last night. 12,000 hours with 1,200 on the 767 and over a hundred trips between the islands and the mainland.

I received the same emails last night. Was bummed at first, but then thought it was nice that they at least sent a reply even though it was not the one you want to get. When I received the Oops email, I was then glad that there's still a chance (be it ever so slim) at getting a call.

What makes you say that? There are plenty of Haole pilots that work for Hawaiian now.

I would even say that it is even more of a term of endearment in my experience.

You can read more about the word Haole here if you wish:

But my main comment was that I do not believe that Hawaiian uses anyone's race as a means to determine their chances for employment as a pilot.
Amen Bro. Could not have said it better myself.

Sorry to hear that nothing has changed in 10 years. HAL will keep you on the ropes for a long time. If your luck to be in a pool, then stand by to stand by. My good friend interview, passed all the testing and never even heard a word for 1 year. After the year went by, HAL called him in for a 2nd interview and he passes again. They just didn't ask him of his updated flying time, they made him do the entire process over head to toe. Unbelievable, then got another interview 8 months later. He was going, then at the last minute changed his mind. He said no company is worth the time and money he spend and to get treated like that. So now he's at Atlas. Not to distract you but very patient.
