Eagle hiring 625 pilots in 2013

I didn't say anything about home in bed, dont count commuting or time in hotels either. That being said, please name another hourly rate job where you are expected to spend 16 hours "at work" and only get paid for 4 (or less) of them. At $20/hr that is $80 for a 16 hr day. That is $5.00/hr AKA less than minimum wage. Also please name another job where due to its nature you are required to pay for a second residence (crash pad).
My job for one. (Yes I'm a pilot but not subject to RLA)
MMA fighter
Encyclopedia salesman
Catastrophic Insurance Adjuster
Civilian Contract Aggressor Pilot
Hot shot supplier.
The point - lots of jobs out there where a person travels and isn't getting paid for all that time on the road THAT AREN'T tied to the RLA.
Why are you only counting a crashpad. That is just ONE type of expense of a job. You could break that down into many different expenses required of a job.
Like I said - the problem is well enough documented about pay -vs- hours worked that exaggeration (e.g. (like all jobs not subject to the RLA do)) is not required.

I'm not talking about time on the road. I'm talking about time AT WORK, and not being paid for it. However you do make a good point about MMA fighters.
I'll have to just leave it that Eagle blows, and that they are exploiting ther pilots to line their own pockets and no one should "love" to work there. The only exception would be very senior eagle guys with descent schedules and pay. Even then I bet those guys can't wait to move on.
