climbto350 job
Somebody's hiring for 767's on climbto350 and they want new FO's to pay for their type rating. Anyone know who this is?? Training contract or do they really want you to fund it??

How exactly does this differ from "type rating required"? Not saying it's right, but it's more common than you think. I doubt that they'll have trouble filling new-hire classes. There's plenty of furloughed folks that have types out there.

Good point josh!
I wont pull any punches when it comes to this one! I do believe it ludicrous that SWA still requires their pilots to have a 737type as a condition of employment. I mean they still have to go through training right? Yes there are those that say that if you can pass a 737 type then you at least have some skills......BS!
But as long as they still rule the world (for now) then i guess they can do whatever they want and higher power will happily be there to provide them with their "typed" new hires......
go figure.

cac737,
Not saying that it's right or wrong... but it's certainly more common than what folks think. Type rating and experience required is very common for most corporate job postings.
Fact is that as long as the slots get filled, companies can "afford" (in various ways) to have type requirements.

when did falcon air go into chap 11? Are they grounded or still flying through chap 11? either way, the 767 wouldve been costly for them to put on their certificate from the proving runs..... anyone know if it is falcon air on if they got any etops certifications?
