You just described where most of us airlifter guys and gals have been flying for the past couple of decades, not to mention every -130 and -17 has defensive countermeasures...

I am guessing that this position is for the operator that is flying for Set Jet. If you look at the next of last paragraph, you will see similar language. I noticed their new sign in Scottsdale this week and looked them up.

Set Jet uses FAA PART 135 operators to execute all flights and does not own or operate any aircraft. All pilots are military-trained jet fighter pilots of the highest caliber, with extensive experience and an impeccable service background.

"Part 135 CRJ200 Captains - Scottsdale, Arizona
MINIMUM qualifications:
FAA ATP and U.S. military fighter/attack aircraft experience REQUIRED. Must reside in the greater Phoenix area. CRJ type rating and previous executive VIP FAR 135 experience highly preferred.
Several positions available. Start date within 30-60 days."
I know for a fact that the best CRJ200 pilots are the ones who are able to put the pickle in the barrel while simultaneously dodging AA and talking about golf with the VIPs in the back. Oh, and by the way, CAF, Luftwaffe, etc. guys need not apply. U.S. Only! Plus, if you flew the C-5, C-17 etc. you're SOL.
Talk about reducing the number of resumes submitted! One of the craziest ones I've seen yet.

A good chance that this is simply a job being posted for EEO/gov't contract compliance--with such a highly-specific set of requirements, this posting probably ensures that a specific individual or group of individuals is hired--like 1-3 buddies of the owner (or possibly the owner(s) themselves).
The part about starting in 30-60 days is about spot on--in order to receive contracts from the gov't, companies like this typically have to publicly post jobs like this for 30-60 days for EEO compliance afaik!!!
Pretty darned good chance there's at least 1 or 2 CRJ-200 experienced CAs living in PHX who work for Skywest/Mesa/etc., and who are former or current ANG/reservists with F/A flight experience.

While we can argue all day about the quality of pilots from various backgrounds, the case can be made that the fighter guys graduated at the top of their .mil pilot training class. Maybe that's part of the thought process.
Although I agree that it is either marketing hooey, or some sort of contract with the military. It is helpful for the contractors to be able to talk/understand the lingo, the scenario, for the test.
