Turnover?

Hello. I was curious as to why for such a small airline they are constantly hiring?

jpncrjdriver 03-02-2015 09:58 PM

Hey Clownfish...

They hire both Japanese and Expat Contract Captains... After the JAL Bankruptcy they had hired a number of pilots that were in the 60ish range and they retired due to age 65 last year... Also a number of pilots went to other Japanese Carriers as their Contract came up for renewal... Some people who joined with a commuting contract found the distance was too great and resigned... Thus the need to hire replacements...

Hey Guys

IBEX will be interviewing in August for a Nov start... Any current and qualified jet Captains interested please apply thru any of the 3 Crew Leasing Companies... The Company is a nice place to work, with great people and fantastic flight ops management... Any questions please post or PM... Kam-pie...

Are these numbers correct? Current regional CA's here on the CRJ can already make that much.. or more by just staying home.

Not really understanding why anyone who is already a CRJ CA would go over there for that little pay.. Am I missing something? Some of the other contracts that require 500 CRJ PIC pay more than twice that much..

Hey RyanP

The numbers have changed... Salary is now paid in USD and allowances in JPY... All pay and allowances are "net" of Japanese Taxes...

What many people miss are the totals of the package and the "cash in hand" at the end of the day... Tax advantages...

I would say that a 12 year Captain at a US Fee For Departure Carrier will gross on 85 hours what a year one commuter will net in salary... Then add the allowances... Yes the China Express Contract is paying more as ALL contracts in China are...

For all the numbers register with one of the Lease Companies for a Break out...

Hi All

Anybody considering IBEX please do. Good Company and good people. However stay away from TWI Aviation especially if you plan on staying more than one contract. Could fill up a page of issues with TWIA but will just say don't make the mistake. Rishworth now has a number of pilots on property. Better terms, well written contract, transparent and a very Professional organization. Any specific question please PM.

Hi JA01

Had wanted to try and keep the thread positive from those here on property... However in light of recent discoveries about TWI Aviation's Master Contract and non-disclosed items I would have to agree, go with Rishworth... Also when comparing contracts, Rishworth does have a number of benefits that are not offered by the others... For Commuters a big item is the additional International Health Insurance at no cost on top of the JPN Natl Health Ins...

Back to the positive guys... IBEX currently has 7 -700s and 2 -200s in operation... -100s were retired this year, another -700 will join the fleet in June 2016... 2 more firm orders were placed for -700s to join in 2017...

Still a good place to work with good Flight ops Management... Should be screening again first part of 2016... Please register with the Lease Company of your choice... Consider wisely... Have a great day...

Kam-pie, JCD

Hey Guys

It has not been confirmed but IBEX may be looking to do a screening in Nov or Jan for a Jan/Mar 2017 start... If interested please log on with one of the Crew Leasing Agencies...

IBEX has a very good Flt Ops Management team... The Company is a pleasant place to work with GREAT people... In July the 8th -700 went into service and all scheduled service is -700s... We still have 2 -200 which are spare aircraft with one scheduled to leave this month... All new Captains are only qualified on the -700...

The T&Cs have changed since the original post... Check with your agent for up to date terms... Choose your agent carefully because once onboard you are stuck with them until you leave the Company... Companies with pilots onboard, IAC, Rishworth and TWI Avn...

Any questions please post or PM me...

Kampie, Jpncrjdriver

Hey

IBEX maybe adding some Expat Captains in 2018. IBEX is a good Company with good Management and people. However STAY away from TWIA. The owner/operator is less than honest. Has stuff that is bad for the pilot in the master contract and once you sign he believes he owns you. Go with Rishworth or IAC. DO NOT go with TWIA. If you go with TWIA and stay more than one contract you will regret it. BE WARNED!
