Not quite. You're there from 8-5...if you have to fly before then, you go fly, and if there's coverage, you can leave early.

Again, not quite. I'm a former military aviator, and I worked there. The chief instructor is a former military aviator. The chief pilot on the 135 side/DE is retired military. Oh yeah, the FAA POI is retired military too.

If you want a CFI job go hit up Panam or Sabena!

I attended Pan Am for a few FW ratings. Don't work there. The pay is horrible, the chief instructor is a tyrant dictator, and the school is extremely overpriced. All of my friends who instructed at Pan Am did so only for long enough to get the time to go to the first regional that called them back. I can't speak for Sabena. Tailwind starts $2/hr higher than Pan Am, with a $2.50 raise after 3 months.

So what qualifies you to speak about the place other than hearsay and poor judgement?

Pan Am pays CFIs (in the Korean Program) at $30,000/yr. salary with benefits.
The FAA and Chinese programs pay by hour of instruction given.

Good aircraft and TruFlight sims to instruct in.

We do have a new Chief CFI and things are beginning to move in a differant direction.
