Got an email for an interview invite today. Says it’s just a 15 min phone call. Anyone know what that involves? Thanks!

Mine (this was in January) was a review of what's on the resume, why Horizon, verification that I knew they were hiring for the Q only (that was then, there seem to be 175 classes scheduled now, so might be different), and then schedule a date to come into the Alaska Hub building in SEA for the in person interview.

Low key, and really a pleasant discussion on the phone.

Good luck!

Company announced today that Horizon projects to hire close to 200 by years end, and then 300 for 2022.

so is this to replace 500 pilots or grow almost 50% more?

A little bit of growth and a lot of attrition.

Is Horizon still offering the Pilot Development Program?

They are. Applications are being accepted. I believe they are offering 10k to horizon employees to offset cfi training costs and about 7k to external applicants signing a 2 year commitment.

I interviewed and was offered the a position in the program. They asked 100% HR type questions. No technical/IFR.

Now offer 12.5k for the 2 year commitment. 5k after instrument, 7.5k after commercial rating.

Once you hit your R-ATP/ATP minimums you get placed into the next available FO class.
