Default Chrystal ball question

Hello, outsider here. Any ideas how AAG will handle the operation at QX if AS actually goes on strike? I know that you are represented by Teamsters and Alaska are ALPA and I realize that's a ways down the road, if it happens at all. Fingers crossed that management is smart enough to offer a contract that will be ratified overwhelmingly!
Cheers and fly safe!

There won’t be a strike. The vote is purely symbolic. The strike would have to be approved by the National Mediation Board and that just won’t happen.

For clarity: The NMB only declares an impasse. The last mediated negotiating session ended 2 days early because the mediator could see no further point in negotiating further…essentially an “impasse”. There is no chance we will end up with a contract that gets anything more than a basic majority. The first TA will end in a majority No vote…The second will squeak by and it will be back to the same old song and dance

They would probably offer a lot of premium pay 150% to try to cover some of their flying. This plan would probably fail though and we would probably end up flying very empty airplanes and having many cancellations.
