By the way, if the company is withholding taxes from these bonuses, how are they arguing that these are not employees that they are paying.

Instead of paying up and matching what his competition is doing, Tilden decides to go full stupid and wages a war with his Horizon pilots.

No matter what you think of Delta or Endeavor, this is what a CEO who gets it does.https://jadserve.postrelease.com/trk...YsCA1AIMAhU4NA

That`s what we wonder too, maybe you Mr. Bigger boy ( Little RJ F/O) can tell us? Regardless the 10k bonus is $6700 net to them when the check is cashed. They can probably get some of that back after their yearly return is sent in. Ask all your friends at QX about it.

Cool that you think I'm somehow the enemy. I hope company loses in court. Good luck.

You somehow thought you knew the tax code but you actually don’t. The company is taking advantage of the pilots that want to fly and have a passion that they are being penalized for, you argued the “amount” that was being withdrawn other than acknowledging the “bonus” was wrong. You are a pilot but you are not happy with the company you chose so you troll the Horizon forum.
You asked “who” I worked for, well I work for the the pilots I instruct, I work for the pilots that don’t know the industry they are getting into. I work for the pilots that have a passion to fly but don’t understand the business executives they may work for. I have flown all over the world, I have flown for two 121 carriers, I have flown in conditions with the lives of over 100 people in the back hoping to god we can make it into the destination they want to go.
I work for the acknowledgment that regardless of the aircraft you fly or the number of passengers in the back, being a pilot with lives in your hands demands the same amount of pay.
Word302 you need to quit being a troll and work with ALL pilots to demand higher pay regardless of passenger manifests.

That's just not true though. It shows how out of touch Horizon people were that they voted yes to that TA.

Endeavor is giving the $23k bonus to all pilots, FOs and Captains. That is the kind of deal the other unions fought for while the Teamsters fought for [what exactly? nothing?]. The rest have bonuses for at least the first 2 years, flow agreements, or pay scales starting at $37 and up.

The only place Horizon has a slight advantage is captain pay scales, and that doesn't take into account the actual pay vs amount of hours - no other regionals are scheduling 7.5 hour 2 day trips for instance.

Exactly think about that for a second. I had to spell it out for so many senior captains here that Skywest or just about EVERY other regional captain is making $10,000-$20,000 more than they are because they get paid more hours per day. .5 - 1.0 hours more credit a day multipled by $100/ hr * 200 days a year.

Anybody that comes to Horizon either didn't do any homework and is lazy (me), loves 6 leg days or is just plain stupid at math and hates money and time off. I corrected my mistake everyone else and everybody else who reads this has no excuses for making the same mistake I did. Literally every single regional is better right now.

NIOBE you are so correct, the senior captains don’t care or understand the difference in QOL from the time they started to what is being done today. They are out of touch with the true misery of first year FOs.

I'm not really sure where your anger stems from. Who exactly am I trolling? I am on the same side as the Horizon pilots. Explain to me how I'm wrong about tax code. You are the one who said bonuses are taxed differently. They aren't. I'm quite happy at the shop I chose to work at. You, on the other hand, seem pretty bitter about your life choices.

No anger at all I’m very happy not flying for a regional airline while being paid less than a burger flipper, why did you argue the amount being deducted? the bonus is wrong SAY IT don’t argue the taxes.
to go to a regional now is to support the pilot second class, my suggestion is to get the ratings and find a job that gives a good quality of life until the regionals die a slow death.
