3/15 Interviews
Figured I'd open this up since we've been poaching on the January guys' territory. As it stands now, we appear to be entering the drug test stage of Phase 2. Best of luck, all!

For those of you in Phase 2, I'd recommend giving GIS a call to make sure they have your documents in order. I called just to check on my status this afternoon and was told they were missing one thing. After a quick check they managed to dig it up... They also claimed to have sent an advisory email, which was never received.

Did anybody get an "Interview Cancelled" email this morning despite having already interviewed and started Phase II?

I got the same thing and emailed HR about it. They said it was a result of cleaning old interview dates out of the system and that we're still in Phase 2.

3/15 Interviews
Did anyone experience issues with the assessment? Specifically the hand-eye coordination test? That ball instantly went to the edge of the screen for me and no matter what I did it wouldn't move. I don't think my joystick was working properly. I asked the proctor but she said "oh that's normal." At the end it said I got 16 points, meanwhile I talked to others who got 70 and 170 points... Hoping that low score doesn't mess up my overall assessment grade or interview. I've been told the assessment isn't even considered unless your face-to-face was weak and they use that to make a decision. I was a 3/30 interview.

Same thing happened to me. I was second row all the way on the right against the wall. It appeared the joystick didn't work.

To move the ball left/right you can't just move the joystick left/right. You have to "twist" the joystick left/right. It's hidden in the fast read instructions.
Even tried that. Wasn't working Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Same for me. I tried the opposite input of what I expected and that didn't work either. The ball was pegged the entire time for me. The joystick input didn't nothing at all.
Which is weird because mine worked fine for that flight sim... how long after did you find out about continuing to phase 2? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

3/29 interviews
Two friends from 3/29 got welcome to Phase 2 today.
|
I got mine today!

Anyone know roughly how many folks interviewed last round (MCO 3/29-3/30)? I'm starting the process of trying to figure out what equipment/base slots we can expect in the upcoming classes. I was 3/30 got the email today. Congrats to the phase 2 peeps.

Glad to hear that phase 2 is moving at a faster pace. I know we lost lots of good pilots because of the 2-6mo th year long waits.
Congrats newbs! |
3/15 Interviews
From what I was told by the person managing everything on the 30th, there were no interviews on the 29th. They initially scheduled interviews on the 29th thinking it was a Wednesday (he said they always do interviews on Wednesdays) but moved it to the 30th when they realized it was a Tuesday. Unless anyone knows of someone that actually interviewed on the 29th, which I think someone said they did a few posts back... I could've been misinformed though.
Just sent in my GIS paperwork. Hope they don't find out about that book I never returned to the library when I was 11 :-) Let the waiting begin. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Entry into Phase II was certainly quick but the completion of Phase II seems to still be taking 2-6 months for the majority of folks. Unfortunately as well, I can speak candidly that a lot of folks are going elsewhere because of the lengthy wait times. That said, those folks very well may not have wanted JBU from the very beginning but if the process was a quick as some of the other competitors they probably would have came on board and stuck around.

Anyone from 3/15 have any progress in Phase 2?
I called today and GIS has not received anything back from a single agency. I figured in 3 weeks there would at least be something back. Certainly not complaining, I know the Jan/Feb folks are waiting as well. I just thought it odd that there isn't any movement. 3/15 - AM Interview 3/16 - Phase 2 4/5 - No progress |

3/15 Interview
For those that interviewed last month in Orlando, curious to hear what the interview is like. For someone who applied last window and most recently this April window, I want to be as prepared as possible if I get a call.
What do they ask you to bring? Do they want a tabbed logbook with certain dates? Signed letters of rec? |

The better they look the more professional you appear, just like everything else. I had a mix of military, civilian, and 121 logbooks without tabs and they worked just fine. Make sure your hours match what you present on your currrent resume and you should be good. And yes, rec letters need to be signed. Best of luck. |
I interviewed 3/15. Phase II email the next morning. Sent all my background check stuff in that afternoon. Drug test email came about a week and a half later.
Haven't heard anything other than receiving the spurious "cancelled interview" email. |

5 weeks tomorrow since my interview. Still nothing from my current employer or the FAA. So much for progress!

Wow... that's incredible. GIS seems to have no idea what I talk about when I do call. Ask about PRIA and they tell me they have my W-2's (which I sent in myself as proof of employment). Did you have multiple employers? Hope you hear something soon.

I had 4 past employers they had to verify and 3 PRIA requests to send. I was also told I had a pending DOT request. Im not sure what that even means. Hopefully I hear something. It is definitely a long process. From what I understand people who interviewed late 2016 are still waiting.
I'm in the same boat. 4 employers/3 PRIA. But they got back to me within a week and said they were unable to verify 2 employers and needed W-2s (which I already sent in) so I take that as they already verified the other 2. And I'd assume the W-2s verified the rest. Hopefully it's just the PRIA they're waiting on and the 30-day PRIA clock has begun. I'd like to know by early May so I can bid accordingly for a possible June class (at least that's what they told us to expect in the 3/30 interview) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
