That's probably a 6 month process on its own. So, I don't think you're going to see the floodgates of attrition ever open. If we don't have a CBA in July, 2018, well now its probably a different perspective for guys leaving. Back up 6 months from July and you've got January, 2018, and when those "nay-sayers" will say its time to put in apps and call-in favors.

Most are sticking around right now because they've got a major stake in B6 being a career airline. Like Bozo said, everyday that goes bye is another day towards 65 and what "you've got left for a career". A decent CBA (IE The Hawaiian examples of successful negotiation and mediation) makes starting over somewhere else worth buckling in for the ride.

Yea and I'm counting on 12-18 months to be able to escape. But I'll get there.

I think if nothing else, he won't let this drag out which will lead to 1 of 2 outcomes.....1....we somehow get a TA quicker because of his ability to facilitate an agreement.....or 2.....he see that we will not be able to come to any consensus and we get release early for self help......

Either way, I think this mediator getting assigned to us probably gets us to a CBA 6-9 months earlier than other possible mediators we could have been assigned..

From what I was told he was the guy we wanted. The company was surprised how fast he was assigned and he has already sent the letter asking for information from both sides.
I guess it looks good for us that the company Cx the negotiating sessions as well.

No this is not about being positive just what I was told. (So I don't get in trouble)

Yea but you do still believe in a TA by Christmas right? ;)
I hope youre right PP-I really do.

congrats guys and gals. Hope it ALL works out in your favor. It's about time pilot groups have a voice, clout to back it up, and a position in which the company does not have 100% of the say.

I wish you good luck

Oh I never said Christmas (I don't think) end of the year sir. :)

I honestly don't know but I don't think it will be 2 3 4 5 years like some guys seem to think.

That rally proved that the pilot group is ready, and that is before the mediation and possible slow process of it. This is the only good thing about the RLA it just gets everyone ****ed and ready for a strike but after going to that rally we have a large chunk already there.

Good luck going to the mediator(company) with massive profits, paying cash for planes, investing in hotels terminals and tech ventures while you try to get away with crap pay in a CBA.

We have done our part many of the sections are done or close and we got the mediator we wanted so I still remain optimistic.

Perhaps you did but failed to specify what year ;-)
