I wish. I know nothing more than anyone else.

The original creator (who I do believe was a JB pilot) used to post on the site and you can find his/her old posts, but drifted away at the end of 2007. Since then there hasn't been anyone who claims to be in charge, and no moderation of the site.

I have tried contacting the owners of the domain, and the old creator every way I can think of without any luck. Does the company monitor it? Well, many CPs probably have accounts of their own to at least read for entertainment. The same can be said for this site.

My personal tin-foil hat theory is that the original creator signed an NDA, sold the site to a 3rd party, and that 3rd party manages the site (pays hosting fees) on behalf of JetBlue but doesn't have any official affiliation with the company. It is in JetBlue's best interest to keep all company whining and moaning contained to a semi-private message board, as opposed to a public one like this.

I post everything assuming the company will read it.

Recently had a FA ask me if I knew who XXXX (one of the more infamous posters) was on Bluepilots. I asked how he knew about this person/screen name and he quickly changed the subject. Didn't care enough to dive any deeper but next trip mentioned it to the FO and he said in the last week he also had another FA ask about certain screen names on BP.

Maybe the the FAs have been running it all along:rolleyes:

Thats the most logical explanation I have heard. Thanks.

Who is managing sign ups? That guy knows who is running it.

It’s very easy to make accounts, for anyone, with any email address.

V2500 10-30-2018 05:03 PM

Who pays for its existence? That’s the unanswerable question, and yes, it’s obviously monitored. A few keyboard cowards there like to thump their chests, posting thousands of times for years, always myopic and circular arguments, which amounts to nil.

I was wondering what happened when about 10 new people signed up in the last few days. Thanks for the endorsement. As for the real name thing, I do allow screen names if someone really is against using their real name. As for me, I figure resistance is futile with the whole privacy thing. Just don’t say anything you wouldn’t say in public. If you want to spout off like a jackass, then jblupilots probably isn’t for you to begin with.

I think a forum with names is good for many reasons. I also believe we need to all ALSO keep our anonymous forums healthy because like it or not, JB has changed for the worse and we will now be in a negotiating cycle every 3-4-5 years. We need an anonymous place to exchange "ideas" about negotiations within the rank-n-file.

We need to be free(er) to exchange "ideas" related to negotiations without our name attached. Without that option, you will either see guys getting disciplined much more frequently for the things they say online or even terminated. Or, guys will stop exchanging "ideas" that push boundaries and the result will be much less pressure on the company and greatly extended negotiations cycle.

Yes, even an anonymous website can be sued for your identity, but we just completed an extended negotiations that was quite contentious in the final months without ever reaching the point of an APC or bluepilots lawsuit.

Some of the blueberries who don't like any harsh language about their precious CULTure may disagree, but mark my words, absent an anonymous forum during negotiations prepare yourself for greatly extended negotiations and possibly worse final outcomes. This company has already shown they will not present a serious offer without tremendous pressure from outside and within.

But is BP as anonymous as people think? I think it’s interesting that people will say (not you) JetBlue is a devious company that will take out pilots that don’t play nice all the while thinking they are anonymous on BP.

I don’t know the official answer but I sure would not think you are “safe” on that site.

But I did like the bus FO and Captain DH on my flight that we’re like pilotpayne. The captain told me who he was (I didn’t ask and have since forgotten) the FO just looked the other way. Just thought it was funny.

I get both sides of the argument I just think if it really came down to it I think the company could figure it out.

Not sure about BP either. I usually won't say things that push boundaries as far there because I have more privacy concerns with respect to BP.

I think you should do an annual campaign to bring some of the dudes there out here. We could use some scuds, barneys, and bandwagons to add some excitement to the JB APC boards. Maybe recruit ThE WaNG as well.

Please, no bandwagon. Otherwise I agree.

But then it would be too quiet and there’d be no back and forth. I guess 360KIAS’s commentary could work to spark discussion though.

Haha the outside world isn’t ready for those guys. We need to keep them locked up on BP. Somehow I don’t think the mods here on APC would do well with Wang, Scud, and Barney!

At least I present something other than yours and bluedriver's "life sucks here" mentality to the board. You guys and ole 'lessMINT should all hang out after work.

You present falsehoods, bad info, and obviously inexperienced new-guy/straight-from-the-right-seat of a crappy regional perspective. You didn’t go thru the labor dispute or live any of the lies and tricks from management over the years. I call a spade a spade. Good, bad, neutral. Sorry you don’t like it. Your type is dangerous to the profession and I wish you were back at your regional until you learn to respect this industry. Please go read flying the line. You can get a free copy from alpa.

Look, kid... I was most likely flying while you were still in diapers. I not only have read Flying the Line, I have FLOWN the lines (more than one, ya know?).

You have no idea for whom I have flown, nor what my experience has been, so let's put the SJW keyboard down before you back your own eye, shall we?

"Over the years"? How long has JB beekeeping you down? Two years? Three?
Looking at your post history, you haven't "suffered" very long at JB yourself. I'm sure it was quite the step up from your bottom-feeder regional, why so bitter? You say you call a spade a spade. Perhaps you do. I'll have to read more of your posts to decide for myself; thus far, nothing too impressive. When you side with the likes of BD and POG, you certainly put yourself in a class all yer own.

Dangerous? Me? Son, I've seen and flown thru things that would have left you with a brown streak in your young drawers, and I'm still.going strong. I hope when you have been flying half as long as I have, you will still be around to chat with. You're fun. Kinda.

Hope to fly with you one day. First 4 rounds are on me.

Wow, you're a humble one... I'm not buying what you're selling "son". As for your opinion on all things blue, you're a classic case of "you don't know what you don't know yet". Some of is used to be pretty juicy ourselves, until history and experience.

Hey I’ve been away from the forums for a while so not sure if this is why but it seems I’m locked out of my bluepilots account. I tried to reset a password but no joy. Care to help a brother out? Haha

I actually had trouble signing up for BP. It says I entered incorrect crew ID or last name. Anyone else experience this?

Burner. Does it need to be company email?

that was in reference to the guy who lost his login. Guessing he will need a new account unless he has access to the account to which his account was registered.

b82rez 06-16-2021 05:38 PM

Find a pilot on the seniority list thats been here a while and use their last name and employee number (with a bunch of leading zeros) to sign up. You can use any email address.

It shouldn’t be a secret. Maybe if enough other people get on there it will tip the balance away from the absolute bat crazy regulars that dominate there.
