Default JetBlue and Hawaiian to merge

With HAL’s addition of a flight to LGB, I’m thinking there will be a merger sometime soon.

You heard it here first.

With out the help of Alaska's west coast routes I don't see JetBlue and Hawaiian airlines serving any great feed . Jetblue doesn't fly to enough cities on the West coast to really connect enough passengers. Thy already fly to JFK so we connect them from there . And they fly to LAX.

Now some investor put up a map of Jetblue , Hawaiian and Alaska's routes combined . That would be a real threat and route map compared to others. Jetblue and Hawaiian solo , Meh, doesn't work well , unless it's part of a long term 3 way merger to go down in the future.

But we can use their gates at other airports we don't currently serve. It would give us the gates we desperately need out west. I woulda thought it might happen while their CEO was British but I think he retired.

I guess that's a small point . But they dot really own that many gates actually, their wide body gate doesn't really give Jetblue two gates . Plus they still need to park the wide bodies when they come in. I think it's possible but not without more west coast connections . This coming from a regular line guy . Clearly don't know anything
