JBLU hiring with 0 TPIC?

Out of curiosity, is jetblue hiring people with zero turbine PIC?

I've got 3000TT, 1100 turbine, all SIC in the RJ. I've heard they're having trouble getting people in the door there and wondering if I even have a shot?

You DO have a shot, as long as you meet the minimums. I'd suggest jumpeating to MCO on the 19th and visit the open house. As with many airlines, once the minimums are met they are looking at the person.

If it comes down to two great pilots but one has more PIC then that pilot will get the offer. If the one with the PIC is a no-show.....

Their interview is great; they treat you very well.

But, they have F/As actually interviewing pilots, which is kind of silly.

Really? What do they ask them?

If they'd be willing to serve passengers wearing a blue apron.

It is truly amazing how times change. Just 4 years ago JB was almost impossible to get in and now they are having a hard time finding people.

Why give up your regional job to get paid $30 an hour less to fly an Ejet?

How many other "regionals" require turbine PIC. JetBlue is just that. A regional. Nothing more.

Situational questions, "What would you do if..." and "Tell me about a time when..."; typical HR stuff. And believe me, they've got veto power----if they don't like you, whatever your resume/app has on it, you won't get hired.

The problem I have with that 'crew' mentality is why aren't pilots interviewing F/As? Fair is fair, right? Sounds kind of biased.

That's funny cause CAL and DAL are not requiring PIC...does that make them a regional as well?

Nice educated approach Chief!
