Dork, I think you're saying we lost 2,000 weeks compared to having standard allocation per pilot correct (weeks per pilot at their longevity)?
In absolute terms, compared to the last PEA year, is it a loss or gain of peak summer weeks in your opinion? |

you can never get time back. But You can always make more money. Look how many bypass upgrades, for years. Time off, and the QUALITY of that time of (timing of the time) are very important to many. |

You’ll make $211 vs $264 for how many extra months by waiting for the Aug bid with 2020 training dates? That’s a lot of opportunity cost to preserve a couple/few weeks of vacation. $4.5k/month difference assuming an 85 hour month (less taxes). Hope you can score some Jan training dates for the bus.

They also said our system was standard with industry-leading distribution. Not of which was or is true. Also, near the top of the market absolute peak period weeks could be achieved with the middle of the road distribution and a 6% distribution. But the Mullet was smart. He knew that with what ended up as the tired for second distribution (sold as industry leading) would result in the very low peak periods weeks by only increasing allocation by 1 week for only 1/2 the pilot group. The effect was a marginal increase in peak period (summer, etc) weeks that will be gone in the first pass through the 1 1/2 multi-pass system we got. Sure there are rounds but longevity 1-10 gets one round and then everyone else except 7 dudes gets 1 1/2 rounds. Hardly standard. The 35 hours feeds right into the 'it good for me' aspect that has hurt this pilot group for almost 2 decades. 35 hours only helps if you get a slot and we lost nearly 2000 slots in peak periods which is the point of a vacation system. To make sure time off is budgeted during peak periods otherwise the company would do what they have always done and said: "You have to sacrifice to work here". The entire system is a Frankenstein and lie and is a mess. |

If contract #2 achieves an extra week of Vaca at each longevity step while holding all else the same, what then is still "Frankenstein"?

Obviously, need more "sick" time as well. Honest question. I think: 0-5 is fine now. Total of 2 5-10 add 2. Total of 4 10-15 add 3. Total of 5 16 plus add 4. Total of 6. 6% distribution each peak period month. 23 hours per period. I would like to see at least banking hours which somehow missed the comparison from other airlines. For instance, you pick up a POT, RSA or VDA in March and then you can bank it in your PTO or have it arrive in your check then next pay period. But yes more PTS. And 15 minutes of silence from Brooke Burke! |

I’m so fawking tired of this “we’ll get em next time” horsesheit. Why would you vote for a system that’s worse than what you had in hopes that it might be better 4 years later?

Did you take summer vacation under the previous system or sell back your PTO?
This is my point. All different types of pilots were better off with the old system because they could choose what they wanted. One size does not fit this pilot group. |
