New York’s gayest

Got a picture today of a huge rainbow flag right below the USA flag at the pole outside osc....

AMC190 06-22-2019 05:22 PM

Simply embarrassing, why they have to impose all of that gay stuff to all the employees’ eyes, they’re not taking in count all of us that are against that!! ..just my opinion !!!

But you can’t say anything because it’s not right of you to not be ok with what they think but they can tell you it’s not right the way you think.

I don’t care how someone lives. That is on them. But don’t tell me it’s not ok with what I think is right or wrong? The company does t have to push its far left agenda with drag queen catwalks in the middle of t5 etc etc. I have nothing against any of the people I fly with at all who are lgbtqzxer they are all great people and what they do in their private life is all on them. The company doesn’t have to flaunt gay pride in every part of our work. Number one rule in a cockpit is to never bring up religion or politics but the company slaps us in the face with drag queens doing who knows what on our planes.

Vito 06-23-2019 04:08 AM

I find it sad that there’s one day for Veterans, one day for those brave souls who died for our country, but an entire month for these folks.

hilltopflyer 06-23-2019 04:26 AM

Are we allowed to dress in drag and wear the ladies tieless uniform now?

I wouldn’t recommend it. Who knows where the line is where you magically turn gay. I’m going to start wearing two ties just o be safe.

Do you need a safe space?

This is tragic. I feel your pain. Not as much as the people that afraid to come out, been discriminated against or banished by their family but close. I personally hate how Christians shove the whole Easter thing down my throat. You guys must really lose it during February for black history month

Yeah, why do they shove all that black stuff in our face, anyway? What about those among us who don't think it's ok to be black?*

*Sarcasm*

I would not compare sexual choice and religious beliefs with the history of people being slaved and put to death. That's a lil extreme.

chitolin 06-23-2019 07:45 AM

Fragile masculinity here. Touchy subject. Live and let live. If someone feels threatened by a rainbow flag, well, take a deep look inside, you might be due for a “come out” party

The problem is, up until recently our society DID care about how someone lives there life. Some people were not allowed to go to their prom, some people were fired, some people were assaulted, and a large amount of the populations was told to keep who they were a secret.

While that's cool that you don't care, the point of pride month is to let people know that the world won't ostracize you anymore (hopefully) based on how you have sex. Society spent generations saying the exact opposite, so I'm sorry to say, but you are going to have to endure this for the foreseeable future.

The day we don't complain about black history month or pride month is the day they will stop "shoving it down our throats."

This is an older article but it is why airlines pander so much to the lgbtq community.

Um ok. Sexual choice? When did you decide you like women. Can you recall the age. Did you come out and tell your parents you were? Was it difficult? We’re you scared how your friends and family would react? Maybe a fear of being disowned for liking girls? Please elaborate And I believe lgbtq have been persecuted, discriminated against, just as blacks.

Correction there. People are still being assaulted and killed.

I swear you’re probably the same guy that berates people for being snowflakes and being easily outraged and so sensitive. Hypocrisy no?

The EWR drag show actually had all of those things

Oh yeah I totally missed that. These long airbus legs are dulling my sarcasm:)

I have never understood this month stuff. It seems excessive but that’s me. If it was veterans month or Christian month I would feel the same, I think it’s obviously an issue that should be recognized but honestly I think we are getting to the point where it’s more about marketing vs anything else.

But it is what it is and it’s not going away.

So are you saying that the history of slavery matches up perfectly (and is on the same caliber) with homosexual discrimination?
If you wanna argue semantics go ahead (I wont join you though). But you know exactly what I'm pointing towards.

Disclaimer: To each their own when it comes to sexual partners.

PasserOGas 06-23-2019 10:09 AM

Everyone is just one Ryan Reynolds eye contact away from being gay.

I’m not gonna even try to compare as I have no idea what each group has gone through. But you do remember Pulse night club? Let’s be honest there’s not a lot of hate crimes, discrimination towards white males. And be even honest more. The Easter bummer is absolutely creepy and horrifying. I don’t mind any of the months or days. I just mind being stuck in a metal tube for 4 days with someone that these things get to them. Not the banks stealing from us, companies poisoning our food etc. But a gay flag. I just wonder if some fellas lose it when they get line checked by our gay CKA

Get over it dude or whatever you call yourself, don’t take it personal, as I said it, its just my opinion; but just be careful on what use as comparative! And I don’t mean it for myself !!

N311JB 06-23-2019 11:46 AM

Get over it? I’m not the one upset because there’s a gay flag at OSC. You should know how many we have from that community. I just want to make sure you’re not sensitive about my gay pride pin on my American flag tie. Just stop being a snowflake

Aeirum 06-23-2019 11:54 AM

I have gay and transgender family members. I support them. However I wish that our profession hadn’t become the springboard and center stage for all things sexual. I feel this highly technical industry is being disturbed by agendas that are inappropriate and distracting. I don’t feel a serious and professional company should be waving flags of sexuality at their corporate offices. It’s unprofessional. I wish we could just treat all human beings with equal professionalism, courtesy, and respect without the “dog-and-pony-show”. Airlines are tripping over themselves to appear as progressive and morally superior as possible and were forced to participate.

Same goes for holidays, keep it clean and uncomplicated. “Happy holidays” works for most.

BS. Who forced you to do anything but show up to work? If you are seriously distracted by a rainbow flag to the point that it's a problem for you, you might have some personal issues to work on.

It's meant to tell a historically discriminated-against community that they're welcome here. I'm not sure why that would be an issue for anyone. You aren't a victim. Just relax. It's more fun on our side of the tolerance argument, I promise you.

Softpayman 06-23-2019 12:29 PM

I think the thing with progressivism is, it isn’t enough to just be in favor of something anymore. If you’re not actively advocating and changing how you do business you’re viewed as the enemy. I see it all the time on social media among very progressive friends. They’re borderline fundamentalists at this point.
Disagree with having a drag show in the middle of the terminal? You’re a bigot.

One can be ok with LGBT and still find how JB handles the marketing distasteful.

Each has their own struggle and I hope we all can just continue to get along as one for atleast our own survival. In the end we all get high blood pressure, shriveled skin and no teeth left.

Just looked at Stormfront Light..er Blue Pilots for the first time in a while, and then came here. Is there a forum for JB pilots that isn't completely effed? Can we get one? Let's have real names on BP.

All these old whites dudes talkin' bout being gay like it's some sort of sexual deviance thing. It's who these people are. Who they love. Like your wife, ya know? Or is your wife just a sex thing too? It's actually kind of amazing how steadfast these guys remain in their view of the LGBTQ community considering that airlines are one of the largest employers of such people. They don't "agree" with it. Do you also disagree with being black?

JB pilots are embarrassing as fuark.

Maybe try jblupilots...where a lot of guys use real names.

jamesholzhauer 06-23-2019 01:17 PM

Also, JB isn’t the only one doing it. Nor are JB pilots the only ones who don’t think it’s the best idea.

If one wants to talk to a recruiter to get hired where do they go? OBAP, WIA, or NGPA. Pilots are being forced to line up and “show support” at these events if they want a reasonable opportunity.

Now try explaining yourself without sounding like a racist. People’s views are not tied to their race. They are independent. It’s a long day when you have to take the progressives to school.

crxpilot 06-23-2019 01:48 PM

I’m gonna stick it out and remain heterosexual, I really think it will make a comeback someday! :p

N311JB 06-23-2019 02:35 PM

My good friend that is a pilot recently got married. None of his a**hole religious family showed up. Can you imagine how that felt? I think having your employer raising a flag for a month letting you know that it’s a safe place isn’t too much to ask. I guess some on here haven’t completed the sensitivity training so it really isn’t it. . I know I know. I’m just one of those libtard snowflakes. A never has his gay a** shoved it down my throat or played that card.

N311JB 06-23-2019 02:40 PM

My best friend that is a blue pilot too is sexually imbivolent. He doesn’t like boys or girls. Can you imagine how that feels to go thru life. Not being attracted to anything. Actually his life is pretty awesome. Stress free. But knowing you’ll never have kids or a partner to share life. It’s just a flag people
