Default Easier commutable plane

Coming in board July 24, very excited to say the least. I’ll be a commuter from ORD. Knowing that the Bus will be a long sit on reserve, wondering if the 190 has commutable lines. Thanks in advance.

Depends.

Dual end commutability is minimal. Those trips require a 30 hour sit in SYR, CLE, DTW....and credit 20-hours.

I'm sure you could find a few more that you could commute to that are higher credit, etc. However, for the majority of trips on the 190 you can expect a 4-6am report with a 1pm-3pm release last day OR 12p-5p report with a 9p-1200a release.

Isn’t that better than commuting to reserve?...

I’d take the schedule over commuting to RSV. Even if one end of a trip isn’t commutable , you’re still not sitting around waiting on them.

I've heard that the 190 seniority is moving really fast can you expect a line pretty quickly?

Also wouldn't red-eyes be commutable as well?

If it’s a simple out and back 3 day, yes.

Some red eyes are built into longer pairings.

But... Generally no red-eyes on the E190.

Thanks guys for the responses. It looks like the 190 might be a little better QOL to start on.
As for the equipment lock rules.... when does the lock start? Your first day of class or when you are done with the type ride? My thoughts are to switch over next year at the system bid in Aug, but don’t know if I would be eligible to so.

It’s your start of class. I would recommend starting in the 190. Within a year you could get a completely commutable line with weekends off. Reserve time will be minimal, therefore more money made on the 190 than the Bus on the first year. Even bidding over after the year mark you may expect to be back on reserve on the Bus. There is no red eyes in JFK or BOS 190.

Heck even after 3 years I will make more on the 190 than I would on the Airbus. The 190 is the chaos fleet.
