Q3 Earnings and Attitude

So, how does the doom and gloom rhetoric of Q1 and Q2 suddenly change into this happy go lucky skippy Q3 earnings statement?

Now costs are a good thing. We’re so much lower than Legacy. Not a drop of culture in the costs statements. Of course put the shine on retirement plus because you’re going to have profit sharing but if the minions compare PS checks with their friends at a legacy it’s not going to look good.

Had 4 inflight last week who said they're done with jetblue. They all have second jobs and were prepared with the fact their PS checks wouldn’t pay for their nails.

Anyways, what are we at this year for net profit? Has to be close to $500-600 mil? Jetblue continues to suck and lie while making near a billion in annual profit.

Back to rowing.

Last year the uproar gave everyone free mint and an amazing gift of a super pass... what more do they have to give this year to try and make everyone forget they aren’t getting profit sharing. Since we are getting retirement plus. Should t we get an extra check of 5%?

Despite making $250 million Q3, and having a very strong profit margin of 11.4%, **ZERO** pilot profit sharing.

Because values and culture.

They don't care one bit about employees. This is a corporation of the worst kind. Listen to investor meetings and listen to their performance rhetoric. It's all about showing financial performance to investors and the board. It's about making someone else money. You're just an instrument to that end. All blue juice rhetoric and disciplinary measures are all mechanisms to keep you useful, or to get rid of you.

A corporation does not need to be run this way, but they choose to. These are not smart people. These are business school flunkies who can't innovate nor do they have the cognitive matter to shape industry or solve problems. Have you noticed that under Giggitys reign of terror, all they have done is pinch pennies, cut routes, given up prime domestic markets, let customers use lavs with the highest bacterial count of any airline, and continue to deny that fumes (sorry, "odors") are hurting us?

Of course this is the fault of pilots because of how the contract was voted for. We must never forget the failures of this pilot group and all those people must be called out for their failure because they will cause a repeat failure in the future. Harrison and Ford now has a textbook case of how to pacify, control, and diminish a labor group before and after the contract.

Wow, you really have something against pilots. It’s all the pilots fault huh? Amazing stuff right there.

Edit:

I stand corrected. It’s the pilot groups fault the bathrooms a bit on the dingy side.

Do you blame them? The planes are now only being catered every 4th leg and inflight has the brand new duty of restocking all the carts each leg. Restocking in the mismatched galleys where they get to haul trays of soda from back to front or vice versa. They also now get to explain to customers why they can't have their 1st or 2nd drink choice since they ran out of that 2 legs ago.

All that new work for the same sub standard industry pay. Whats not to love??

Delta is hiring thousands, pays 50 percent more and don't make their FAs get on their hands and knees cleaning and restocking each leg.

Someone mentioned getting nails done? Funny because that is what the company said FAs could do with the money they saved on union dues if they did not vote the union in.

I have something against anyone who makes mistakes that were well forecasted. Why did it take so long to get ALPA? Why did we have such a huge failure (adoption) rate of such an ineffective "contract" which is only so in name?

Are you denying that this was all under the sphere of control of the pilots? These failures are the result of a group of pilots who are defeatists and apologists to the status quo as dictated to by management.

So yes, I'll be the first to lay blame where it belongs. We must never forget about what could have been done better. I'm sure you'll disagree but your argument will only be based on the presumption that it is futile to demand better (defeatist argument).
