Let's hope they give more than the minimum amount of LCR lines.... Be a real kick to the stones if they force half the company into commuting to SCL lines where they know they won't even be flying. If so, I see some guys saying "Screw it" and just waiting to get an out of position.
In each Bid Period, the Company shall determine the required number of Reserve lines subject to the following:
i. The Company shall award a minimum of thirty (30) percent Short Call Reserve lines in each Base and Status.
ii. The Company shall award a minimum of twenty-five (25) percent Long Call Reserve lines but no fewer than two (2) in each Base and Status.
iii. All Reserve lines in excess of the monthly Short Call Reserve Line requirement shall be Long Call Reserve lines.

Have you read the CBA at all?

Company determines for a given month they need a minimum of 75% SCR and 25% LCR. We have no access to the number the company determines until after the bid awards.

I understand, and that is where the MEC should have probably also negotiated a Max. However, looking at previous bids, the company has been pretty close to awarding the min SCL/LCR lines. So, any excess of the 30% SCR got LCR, unless they specifically bid for SCR

I have zero issues with contract or companies doing what’s best for them.
there will always be things to better and debate.
All I’m saying is this is a bit of a special circumstance with routes almost nil to commute and the area is badly infected.
maybe adjust the rules until quarantine is lifted with union approval.
I think that might go long way on the “caring” and “safety” values

Umm, yeah, I have read that. I'm not one of the guys who sent in a questions to the MEC asking them how many the company is going to furlough....
But Flyboy brings up what I was trying to say. The company decides how many. I could be reading it wrong, but to me, the last point (iii), doesn't mean a whole lot if the company decides it needs 130 SCL lines. There's no max. I've never been fu;;y clear how that works out. You can nail me to a cross now.

but I want to be clear I’m not *****ing at company or union.
commuting is a choice but not one people can undo in a months time.
Crash pads are a necessity.
pit 10-30 people in one. One guy gets sick. 9-29 compromised.
mans I don’t know answer to this but it doesn’t seem safe or practical.
probably wrong thread but these have all gone off rails so I apologize

Next month is crazy. Ive been a solid line holder for 3 years. Next month I’m likely to be back on RSV! So few lines available and way more guys senior to me didn’t take VIL since they likely saw many of us line holders had much of our schedules dropped. I only had 1 trip not get pulled in 2 months and that was a 5 day modified to a 2 day. Bizarre times. I pray we get back to work and people start feeling safe enough to get back in our jets!
