JetBlue getting a lot of props on the news for being the 1st to require pax wear masks. Extremely positive marketing that didn’t cost a dime. This was brilliant.

JetBlue is a marketing firm that happens to own some airplanes. Worked out well in this case

Heck I’m surprised they didn’t have jetblue branded masks to give out.

But yup they were in front of this one.

Everything I'd like to ask/post about this situation would probably get me fired. And I don't even work for JetBlue.

Suffice it to say that when it comes to airlines, there's always WAY more to the story, and I'm sure that's true here.

Wet pavement doesn't make it rain, it's the other way around. That's how 99.9% of how airline stories are mis-reported until the truth comes out months later, if at all.

There is nothing to it. If you are over the age of 2 and don't keep your mask on, you can't fly.

Also, its to Newark.

My daughter turned 3 last month. Flew Spirit outbound in May and back in August. There was no way she was gonna keep a mask on her face for a 5 hr flight for the entire duration. We're lucky if she keeps it on for anything more than 30 minutes. Kids are kids. This isn't easy. The idea that a 3 yr old will keep a mask on their face for a transcon is ridiculous.

Luckily no one kicked my wife and 2 kids off the plane. That said, my wife feels overwhelmed when traveling alone with the 2 kids. I can't imagine a mom going alone with SIX children!

I get it. Rules are rules, but the optics on this are terrible. And public sympathy is not in our favor. This is starting to get ridiculous. We’re talking about a 2 year old, and which apparently had a pacifier in his/her mouth. Maybe the FA could have used some common sense and discretely told the mom to ‘do your best’ to keep a face covering on the child....knowing full well a 2 year old is not going to keep that thing on their face for more than a few minutes at a time. We’re trying to keep passengers on the plane. Not kick what few of them we have off the damn thing. Again, public opinion is not favoring ‘rules are rules’ on this one.

Listen this whole thing(covid) sucks and isn’t fair to anyone. But the truth is we need to be hardliners when it comes to rules. Kids and young adults are walking Petri dishes because they are the least Compliant to CDC regulations in our society. Is there any surprise the NBA players have very little If any positive Covid results?? No! They have a strict social distancing policy(off the court), wear masks and sanitize! No mask No service. It’s a policy at the Wawa gas station and it’s a policy at Jetblue - this is the new normal.
