Why do I get the feeling that as usual the company is going to have the train wreck that usually happens when they do…well…really anything in that they are going to send 190s to the beer can factory and the 220s will be delayed again?

Still only 12 A220’s and 1 of them is parked.

the 220’s are very delayed

1. How many currently out of service?

2. Yes, most of them are flying right now, as are most of the E190s. So if you start parking more E190s without taking more A220s, from this point, then block hours/ASMs will shrink.

If you're already flying all the current A220s, and all the current E190s, you can't park a bunch of E190s and only take a few more A220s without reducing the schedule.

They would either have to shrink as you mentioned or increase utilization of the A220 or a little bit of both. So the question is, what is the current utilization of the A220? Are the 11 or 12 planes already at Max utilization? I don't believe they are since it sounded like they still have somewhat of training wheels on them (ain't stretching the legs to their full extent as yet) but I dont know for sure.

Also as much as the 220s are delayed, we will probably get 1 or 2 more by the end of the year.

That’s just the way plane spotter reports it if it hasn’t moved in a few days.

It’s flying tomorrow though

Don’t they still have an altitude limitation for something to do with engines? I know the thing is ridiculously efficient but that’s got to hurt its viability in the way they intended it to be used at least somewhat.

BTW if you haven’t rode on one yet, just prey you aren’t 20 in line to take off, those fkn engines are annoying as hell every time they come out of idle.

They sound like orca whales. But I think I'm starting to like it.

Not at the moment. I think Swiss was having some engine issues and needed a software update a few years ago. Altitude limitation is 41,000ft.

LOL oh no, the engines make a funny noise transitioning to idle. How do you even live?!
