BOSTON 190/220/320 flying

2 Attachment(s)
I'm hoping to start class in the next few months and would love to get some information about the type of lifestyle to expect with the three airframes out of Boston.

From what I've gathered so far, the reserve times for the 190 would be somewhere around 3 months, 320 would be 3 years. No word on the 220.

What should be expected, schedule-wise on reserve?

Any info on captain upgrade times?

Attached are the best pay scales I can find from the forum, are they accurate?

Pay scales are accurate, I believe 320 upgrade is around 9 years, 190 at 2 years, 220 is about the same as the 320.

Reserve times are minimal on the 190 due to all the hiring. On the 320 you could expect 18-24 months. On the 220 it’s still up in the air since it’s a growing fleet.

Lots of locals who are senior who bid reserve. I am under 50% on the 220 FO and I bid reserve most months. YMMV.

If you’re starting soon, I think I would try and bid the A220 since about half of the 220FO seniority list through the end of 2022 will be pilots not here yet. I think I read about 6 just started today and got assigned the A220, so they’re in a pretty good spot IMO.

A220/A320 upgrade time is about 6 years now….not sure where 9 came from. I think when the Covid dust settles it’ll be around 4-5 years, maybe a hair shorter on the A220.

Around 15 A220s by end of next year correct? and then a bunch coming in 2023? Maybe I will look into bidding the 220… Assuming reserve won’t be too long as I’ll be commuting

I model my lifestyle after Austin Powers, with better teeth of course.

We have 8 220's on property flying now. 2022 the original order was for another 8 airframes, but on the last financial update they had increased the number to either 9 or 10 for next year. So should have 17-18 but end of 2022.
