Should have just took the stupid mask off in EWR if they wanted off, some of our FA would have thrown their @ss off in a second.

What I don't understand is article says they couldn't get off due to lack of customs in Newark....

Could've been in the middle of the night. I didn't see any times mentioned in the article. Either way, while it was a crappy experience, passengers can't call the shots.

Pretty sure they diverted after customs was closed…but I know that isn’t nearly as fun of a story.

Look like a couple cry babies trying to whine there way off, not realizing it’s not possible with an international flight.

I’ve been at some smaller airports that have had customs 24/7, but what ever you have to tell yourself.

Halon, are you disputing the fact that customs was closed when the divert occurred? Have you done an international divert? Have you done one when customs was closed? Just curious.

Do you just think everyone who you get in a p***ing match with is Halon?

I’m not saying what the crew did was wrong...I’m just laughing at what they told the passengers.
