B6 of WN

Lucky enough to have offers from both. Moving to base in either scenario. To me they both have pros and cons just wanted the opinions from strangers before making major life decisions. 😅

Where do you live? Not commuting should go above all else in my opinion.

If you're not smart enough to make that decision on your own, you're probably going to have a hard time with WN training.

Moving to base either way, I’m guessing that’s MCO then? If that’s the case, Southwest. Same thoughts if it’s LAX as well.

I’m pretty sure you already know the answer to this. Go to the smaller dumpster fire.

I’d actually go to the smaller dumpster fire. Specially with a spirit merger I think there may be more career potential than the domestic, 737, lot of work, stagnant airline. The airline is already big and pretty young group too. This isn’t a shot at Southwest, I love the airline and would love to fly there but I’d choose JetBlue still.

I feel like our dumpster fire is pretty intense right now though.

United, delta, or American. Maybe FedEx if you’re into that stuff.

Tough decision. Ones a big dumpster fire whose pilot group just gave away rights to almost half of its flying but it’s got quick upgrades. The other is less of a dumpster fire but an eternity to upgrade and a career of flying the 737….

If you don’t care about upgrading before 2030-35 go to SWA. If you’re cool with upgrade on the RJ, go to JetBlue. Either will be a good stepping stone to a legacy if you decide you don’t like it.

Doubt anyone hired this year will ever upgrade on the RJ. Over half will be gone by the end of 2024, and all but a couple gone by end of 2025.
