Is there going to be any 220 out of LAX? If awarded 220 after indoc, how long until you can switch to 320 and try to hold LAX?

Also, is flying for JetBlue generally 3-4 day trips or is it day trips? I'm trying to stay local to LAX and commuting likely wouldn't work for me if there's alot of day trips.

Thank you.

No talk of a 220 base out of LAX. I could see it someday, but not before 5 years or so. We have a mix of 1-5 day trips, mostly 3-4 days. Your best bet would be to take any A320 slot system wide, then try and get a base trade back to LAX. But realistically, go to AA, or somewhere else with a LAX base.

if you don’t bid day trips, you’re not going to get day trips.

LAX day trips.......I mean like Geography and the Blue City route map isnt real conducive to that. They tend to be real senior and like 2 vegas turns.....and it is still rigged to 5:00. Not my idea of QOL but....Cabo turn sounds good...but very senior I think.
Im nowhere near the campfire anymore.....but I think that LAX growth (that the company always says seems to be around the corner...they just fail to mention that your trsaveling in a circle).....wS very dependent on the merger going through....and now that its not. I think itll just be more of the same.

I’d say look at AA, SWA or anyone else with a large presence in LA.

Not sure why all the negativity out there. LAX is like a separate airline, and with really great crews. Lots of senior people bid reserve - seriously the 10 most junior pilots in base all got lines in March. No problem if you don't want day trips as people generally DO want them. And the red eyes are really no big deal. You nornally arrive on the east coast around 2am/3am body clock time and then work your way back. Usually 1 leg and done each day.

I've seen the trip mix at the legacies and they are significantly more work. Unkess you're looking for the quickest upgrade to captain or want to fly 12 hour flights on a wide body, I'd say B6 is a great place to call home.
