Schedule drops

Not trying to start a p!ss!ng match over who has a better contract. How does dropping trips work at JB? Is it like NK with an Initial open time, seniority based followed by daily open time, first come first served? I know JB can’t go to 0. But how low can JB drop to?

After bid awards come out:

48 hour seniority drop/swap window 1.

48 hour seniority drop/swap window 2.

48 hour first come window.

Then regular FCFS window for the rest of the month.

Drops if the grid is green, sometimes the grid also affects swaps.

You can drop to 70. Below that requires you to use PTO. You can drop to zero without using PTO on the FLICA trade board.

We acrue 6 hours of PTO a month for sick/PTO.

We all want the NK red/green grid rules and RSV grid structure.

Most I'm sure want to see the 70 hour min drop restriction improved/lowered.

Not without reserve being able to adjust their schedules.

Not a fan of drop to zero unless we get the VDA and bot issue fixed. Otherwise the senior bot boys will just drop to zero and VDA and bot the entire month

The JCBA can be a complete overhaul if you just let it; nothing is just getting "fixed."

I much prefer the X/Y System at Spirit anyway and it prevents all of that. At least as far as I understand VDA.

What if we all get everything we ever wanted, plus a lot more, but it's "Drop-to-1"? Still a hard NO?

Bluedriver 11-25-2023 04:19 AM

A lot of good points have been raised. Reserves must be able to adjust their schedules. VDA and bot system fixed.

I am open to the X/Y system with its mechanism for ensuring premium is spread amongst the group instead of concentrated at the top 5%.
