so why do they keep pretending to have interest in a LAS base? Even after the spirit denial, they claim it would make sense.

I haven’t heard any LAS talk since the merger died. Where did you hear them talk about it? Recurrent lunch?

Mostly the company pocket sessions. It sounds like LAS is still very much in play.

Did they talk about the LAX reduction too in those pocketcasts or whatever they are called.

I learned quickly they only give postive information.......thats understandable .....it's just that they are lying most of the time.

It’s quite an exaggeration to say they lie most of the time. I listen to most of the pocket sessions. Many times they mention something that is later confirmed by company actions. They said the short haul LAX flying was unprofitable. That’s not very positive. So they’re getting rid of it. And they said SJU flying is very profitable and we’re going to add flights. So a base makes sense then.

I think we all get it by now….you hate Jetblue and your time there. United is awesome, except in the eyes of the FAA….but other than them.

I wonder why he is even posting here. I haven’t posted in the air Wisconsin forum for like 12 years, you know since I left.

the biggest lie I heard in that pocket session was saying that a full plane doesn’t mean it’ll make money. Really? So we are selling every seat for what? So we lose money? Isn’t it better to have a lighter plane at higher prices?

We are also capping flights that have never been capped for years. The plane gets full to the cap, so why limit the sale of more seats? Again in a flight that has never been capped. Something smells fishy.

Seems like cappin is hedging. Might be an inflection point where more bodies = more fuel and cuts in on margin. As dumb as it sounds, it’s my best guess. Also ensuring they’ll make it to their destination if there’s an alternate. No tech stops means less chance of spending blue bucks on stuck passengers and crew.
