The Stockholm syndrome with this group is astounding. Let’s cheer on the ones who put us all in this situation for finally coming to some senses and trying to run a business and treat it as if they didn’t screw up in the first place.

You sound like you've been here a lot longer than me, so I can understand being jaded. However, given that they're actually getting the results they planned for and, as I said, doing the things they say they're going to do, I can't really fault the situation too much. I don't have the scar tissue you do.

That's not Stockholm syndrome. It's a different experience.

Don’t let the naysayers get you down…Some people will never be happy and will always complain, “glass half empty types”. No disrespect, they are entitled to their opinion.

My opinion is that this management team is actually attempting to execute a strategy and trying to “lead” a culture of reliability, improved customer service, on-time performance and hopefully sustainable profitability.

The verdict is still out, but at least it’s positive and moving in the right direction.

I’m not giving them full credit yet, but would offer we do our part, be proactive with the operation, try to push on-time, fly safely and be positive to the customers.

Just a humble suggestion from “Stockholm”😀

Quick history lesson. The new board member announced this morning is the gentleman that guided both 9E and F9 through BK.

When old play books don’t pan out, they bring in the experience and expertise. That is all.

Didn't even cross my mind, in the same way that putting Ben Baldanza on the board didn't mean we were turning into Spirit.

Now that the merger attempt is gone, so is Ben.

Yes he does, but was on the board after his diagnosis all the way through the merger process.

Every time I tell someone this, they say "really, I was thinking of booking AA, United or Delta because I thought it was nicer." We charge less for a better product and that needs to change if we are going to be succesful long term.

IMHO this is what is hurting y'all more than anything. The product can be amazing on the plane but when your performance metrics are bad people don't come back. My family and I bought tickets on 2 occasions on Jet Blue for vacation travels because there was nonstops available on the route. We had one of the 4 flights operated on time so we've gone back to just buying discount tickets on company metal and dealing with connecting in a hub for the reliability and frequencies when things do run late.

Great link, thanks for posting that. Followed it and found the latest data from Jan through Jun. They don't graph anything, just tables, so I decided to plug it in real quick for a visual. We improved shortly after management swapped out, but dropped back down again. Then again, seems like everyone had that March dip and then popped back up.
