What's In A Name?

Several years too late, ALPA realized how important a label can be.
We should consider ouselves lucky that the 190's were not outsourced but let's never buy into the idea that this airplane is a regional jet.
Regional jet was a term invented by savy administrators/manufacturers who wanted mainline pilots to temporarily overlook an outsourcing revolution. These airplanes slowly went from 50 to 70 to 90 seats, and now, we are expected to accept that 100 seats is also "regional."
Why? Because the "regional" moniker provides the mental backdrop for the inevitable comparisons to regional/commuter pay and benefits. Nevermind that we don't care to make comparisons when we talk about narrowbodies.
We do not have to accept the "regional" tag and we should not going forward.
It is important that Jetblue pilots refer to this airplane as simply a "jet" or the "190" or the "Jungle Jet" - whatever - just so long as we don't buy into the idea that this airplane is equivalent to a commuter airplane.
If I were to make a comparison, I suppose the B-717, DC-9-10, or the old Fokkers would be appropriate and in all cases, these airplanes were and are flown by major airlines.
As an aside:
It occured to some of us that an occasional avatar switch would be prudent. Maybe preceeded by a cooling off period, a fresh name, and a new voice.
See y'all in a few days - or weeks? - or months?
If I take a recall, maybe never.

Yelling and screaming at each other isn't always so bad. It brings things out into the open. I've seen it done at other organizations face to face, and then everyone goes out for a beer afterwards. It all has to be taken in context.
Recall? Well, best of luck if you choose that path.
