Oh good god here we go. Yeah you don’t want to be stuck on that 190 with “industry” leading pay (I guess that’s now bad) it’s not like you are on the seniority list or anything or that first year pay is the same.

Let’s flip it you could go 190 and keep moving up as the senior pilots go bus or go to the bus and stay exactly where you are as people keeping coming in above you.

We haven’t even started talking about the 220. But going to the 190 is not the reason to not come here. There are plenty of others but not this one.

Btw this is why the massive pay disparity was a dumb idea. They should have just paid the 190 what our 220 rates will be an maybe there wouldn’t be the exodus, but that’s just me.

They could have had those 49 190 spots on the December bid and had the exact same outcome we’re about to get. There is no benefit to running a bid then running a supplemental bid behind it, it’s not some way to screw you over man. They just messed up the staffing numbers. And when they realized they needed more pilots they have to put out a system bid contractually because we have to have the option to bid it before it goes to new hires.

You also missed where I showed the last bid had a 190 FO at 1.5 years be awarded the Bus, this is after the contract was signed so I’m not seeing how it’s going to go so much more senior now. There are still a lot of guys who will stay on the 190 for QOL, or waiting for the A220, or waiting to upgrade.

I absolutely guarantee you a new hire today awarded the 190 will still be able to get on the Bus within 2 years in the junior bases.

I didn't say they couldn't do it in a single bid. Just said what they did. The last quarterly bid covered a time period of 6 months, covered a time of new contractual rules coming online including "industry leading" pairing contraction rules! And covered 6-7 supposed Airbus deliveries. Yet, almost no A320 posted vacancies!

When I see the company post a large number of A320 vacancies I will change my mind.

Also, you mentioned that we are taking 15 deliveries for 2020. Don't count on it. We were originally scheduled for 15 deliveries next year. And for 2018. And for 2017. And for 2016. How did that go?

Put me down as someone who wants NOTHING to do with your "industry leading" E190 pay, as it's still 20% less than 99% of my major airline pilot peers wages after 1st year pay.

And we don't take A220s in any meaningful numbers for 4+ years. That's a long time to be an industry worst major airline pay after 1st year pay.

And yes, the company created a feces-storm for themselves in the training department because of the large pay disparity. I guess "industry leading" isn't so great. Who knew?

Were you not a 190 guy before? It’s easy for you to say you want nothing to do with it because you are on the bus.

There was always going to be a transition and to my point I would rather go 190 and keep moving up vs go bus and be stuck as people keep coming over. But that’s me. So I guess I don’t see this as the new reason du jour to not come here.

We are changing fleets which everyone wanted now it has to be done and it’s going to be tough to call what happens. Look how quick those Delta 88 upgrades were until it stopped and people went backwards.

I said this on BP if the company had been smart they would have kept the pay close to avoid exactly this, but we know jetblue is not smart.

I guess being on the horrible 190 for 7 years I’m ready to leave it but that is honestly out of total boredom of the flying. The new guys should spend less time on reserve and keep moving up as the senior guys go bus so I don’t see it as such a bad thing.

Not just the company you saw all of the bus guys scream you already have the highest pay we want it. This isn’t all company.

Joe, every airline has a junior fleet. 99% of our peer pilots junior fleet pays 20% more than our "industry leading" pay... THAT is the point I was making.

I want nothing to do with our "industry leading" E190 pay because it pays so poorly.

So far true. Do you have an explanation for why almost no A320 FO postings despite so many A320 deliveries?
