Any idea what the success rate through Phase II is? Assuming someone doesn’t have anything derogatory/undisclosed in their background, of course.

It would be for lying etc. doubt it is that low of busting out rate.

1. If I can't make the available interview dates, is the recruitment department open to rescheduling to the next month, or is it "take it or reapply in 6 months"?

2. Would fewer than three external LORs or zero LORs from a JetBlue pilot be a deal breaker?

3. I heard a few years back that that as part of Phase II, candidate names are circulated within the current JB pilot group, and they can then give comments on the candidate. Is this actually a thing?

I couldn't make the first set of days they gave me, so I emailed them and within a few days they responded and asked if I could make the next set of days (2 weeks later). It sounds like they are willing to work with you.

I was in Afghanistan when I got the call. They let me pick a date months later, when I was finally back in the states. They’ll be glad to work with you. They know everyone has other lives. Best of luck.

training failures

How does Jetblue view previous training failures, long story short I would like to have a career at Jetblue. However, I have few oral failures and a PC failure. I do own up to my failures and have my reasons behind these failures as they were mainly due to personal/family challenges. On a positive note, the last failure was in 2016 and since then that I have been through 2 part 121 type ratings without any failure or retraining events. Do I still have a shot for a career at JETBLUE or the doors are closed due to the failures. Would appreciate any feedback or tips. Thank you.

You will be fine. Just fully disclose everything.

Many pilots have failures in their past at every airline. Just own it, and explain how it has made you a better person. You'll be fine.
