It's just a matter of the next system bid coming out and your timing in relation to it. They come out the 1st week of March, June, September, December and the bid awards usually follow the middle of the month. Your transfer date will probably be 4-6 months after that. If you start class after the March system bid comes out then you'll have to wait until June for the next one.

And if you tried bidding a BOS 320 out of training how senior (advanced in age) would you need to be? I understand past performance is no guarantee of future performance and it can vary but based on your experience...where did it go?

It is hard to tell, but usually goes pretty senior. I'd say average age is mid 30s, with the oldest being early 50s and youngest being mid/late 20s.

I was 42 in initial and came in 5th in seniority out of 13. Figured I'd be the old man(owl) but wasnt close:confused:
The guys in class that got the JFK 320, got Bos before the end of training. That was in October though. Good luck to the new guys and keep em coming.

So at, say 42, it's possible. You're saying there's a chance!

I'd take E190 BOS instead of JFK 320 (for those who live in BOS). Two year equip lock, 1st year pay is the same on both, you'll hold a line much faster on the E190.

Has anybody received a call for the 2nd class in feb?

Just worry about getting the phase II email first. That will drive you nuts haha

Agreed if u live in BOS, but I did only 3 months reserve and now on a hybrid line on the JFK 320- about the same wait as the BOS 190 guys hired 2 months before me. Lots of movement coming either way- I like the trips better on the 320.
