The "culture" here is a facade - nothing more. Our company wants us to do more - clean, educate the other work groups on SOP changes, bail them out of another poorly managed IROP, etc., but they don't even want to give us an average compensation package.

I could belabor the point but I'm just going to say one thing: NOBODY is leaving a legacy carrier to come to jetblue. Why do you think that is?

What gets me even more is how obviously offensive it is that someone would use this facade of values to take advantage of honest, good people who want them to be real, and who do mean well. This hurts me to the core. I find it highly condescending because I basically live according to these values anyway without someone leading me by the hand, or droning on about mission statements. It's who I am. But, to use this approach, and then fail to follow the same values as a company, is going to have a bad ending. Not all people are stupid, and they can see this for what it is. I'm hoping that things will change for the better, or that a legacy buys us.

All of you please do leave ASAP!! That also helps negotiations. I'm pretty sure number 14599 at any of the big 3 will be a great place to start over at age 50

14599 isn't that bad when 1000+ are leaving every year.

The old man (52 years) in my newhire class at United 18 months ago now sits 50% in his base with weekends off/all Hawaii flying, and will now clock this payscale on the 737-800/900 in the new year (with additional 3% raises going forward).

When I see him in Ops, he always has a smile on his face.

Good luck to you and everyone else trying to leave for better things. Can't say I blame you. I've started at the bottom way too many times over the past 10 years that I'm hoping this is the last time. I have confidence that it will be, but time will tell....

Keep making posts like this one and it will only take LONGER to get the CBA we need.

I'd ask a few guys you know over here before judging off an internet thread.

Remember, these guys have said as much...They'd prefer you don't come here because it helps our bargaining position.

And clearly your priority is to harm our bargaining position. Well done champ.

How short the pilot memory is. AA was a failed carrier, what 5 years ago? Failed as in bankrupt.

Things change quickly. I have faith in our negotiating committee, I even have faith in our management team to stay profitable. That conbination leads me to believe we're in a good position for a fair contract....(in way less than 5 years).

Or maybe all of 5 years+ if you can't help yourself from helping management recruit pilots. What are you doing???

Please, little Blue snowflakes don't like being told things can be good/better elsewhere.

Strange that Robin and the board don't seem to mind making millions. They must lack your perspective.

Man after reading this thread I definitely feel like I goofed up coming to JB.

Should've stuck it out at my regional that only had 2 years left on its contract flying or better yet go to Spirit or Frontier to wait for my impending call from the legacies. Because obviously life at Spirit and Frontier is SO much better. (Sarcasm) :)

Do PA's compare their wages to Starbucks Barista's?

No ... but pilots do!
