Seems that it's much easier to exceed guarantee by a substantial margin at these airlines compared to ACMI though the numbers you mention are not too bad especially compared to a lot of other ACMI carriers where pilots rarely even break a guarantee of roughly 60 hours.
Those SWA guys sure earn their paychecks though, too many legs in a day for my taste.

Very true but they are usually flying in only a couple time zones and dealing with USA flight rules instead of all the international BS. SWA is really just a big coast to coast regional.

And yet they pay some of their pilots over $400k and their airline is still very profitable. Just think about how much some of these regionals have been making all of these years while they convinced their pilots that they could only pay them $20k as a first year FO and maybe $100k as a senior captain.

Hey,
What is the typical timeframe for indoc to IOE, and what is the pay during training, also what do you have to pay out of pocket during training?
Thanks

Nothing out of pocket at this time. However the contract reads otherwise. Company has decided to ignore the contract and pick up the hotel cost and provide perdiem. Hard to say how long that will last along with how long th trek from training to IOE is. The contract reads 600 a week until line check complete. Company has been putting pilots on regular pay after they do their FAM flight prior to IOE.

What determines a hazardous destination and what override is applicable? Are these airports voluntary, bid on, or just luck if the draw? Are these just fly through destinations or overnight stops? Thanks for your responses in advance.

The contract says the company will maintain a list of locations identified as hostile areas. Right now that means Afghanistan.

If you go there you get 4 hours at 150% above guarantee. Generally these trips go pretty senior because people want the pay. Sometimes you'll just luck out and get one, and unless the plane breaks we do not overnight there.

Would it be possible to have your home be in the UK or Europe and still get the company to pick up your travel to work?

Western Global offers that, we don’t.
