Just be careful of what you say....a friend of my who was new to the airline answered the phone when his wife called and told her he was at the pool in MIA drinking dollar beers from the honor bar at the pool and watch the European flight attendants with their tops off swimming at the crew only hotel while she was running the snowblower and feeding baloney sandwiches to the kids....I could not believe it! And of course she told my wife!

First rule of flight club......don’t talk about flight club.

It's worth observing. Flying tempo is way down. Will it stay this way forever? Maybe not. (Telling my friends that it's because of the Trump Trade War.) But I like to do what I like to do, and don't like what I don't. Don't like sitting in hotels (or renting cars and driving around for grins, etc). Like flying planes. Just what I am. If I'm woefully short of min guarantee, I'll take an OSC flight over an R2 hands down. Hell I'll come up to YIP and sit support in the box, do engine runs in the Baron, whatever.
If it goes on long enough, it becomes a question of whether or not this is what I want to do. We've all got options. This is still a great gig, no doubt; love the crews, love the plane, love the mission. But I'd be more than willing to save the company hotels and per diem having my bag packed and company phone on my hip at home.
Till then I get no sympathy from my wife either. ;)

And for the math majors in the room: 64 * $110.90 * 12 = $85,171.20; well short of a six figure salary.

No, I get it. Cargo companies usually don't like paying crew members to sit around hotels drawing per diem. Reading the cargo news it appears there is reduced demand. I'm not saying the sky is falling by any means.

99.9% of the population goes to work hating their job. No one will EVER have empathy for us sitting in a hotel room in Asia or Europe feeling bored.

Don’t know if any of you have used Turo. It’s Airbnb for cars. Used it while sitting around ANC for 5 days.

It’s cheaper in ANC sometimes also. Go drive around the kenai peninsula.

Do you mean off days outside the footprint of the trip? No. Off days inside the footprint of a trip? Yes, except 1/7.

Contract work

Are K4 crews able to do contract outside of Kalitta?

With permission from the chief pilot. One of our guys still flies L1011's, the one they launch rockets from under the belly, but I doubt it is a frequent thing.

That’s what I meant. So you have to be ready to go to the airport at any given Moment on those overnights except on the 1/7? What is the call-out window in that case?
