I have noticed moving up on the 747 bid list but I don’t focus on all the vacation and recurrent FO’s, so I’m not sure if I’ve actually moved up or not.

I don't know. In one case I flew with an FO, few months go by, haven't seen him, and then his Facebook shows him doing IOE at UPS. For those moving on, it seems most keep it quiet. I don't fully understand why.

Unfortunately you have to look at the seniority list to get a better estimate.
