They can’t change them. What he’s referring to is people are being returned to their lines after being pulled, and then are ****ed that the company is giving layover days from the original line.

A gotcha.. yea that sucks but can’t blame the company for that. Just hope guys remember that when you are on a layover you have absolute NO requirement to answer your phone or check your schedule.

of course not. Newbies are still answering their emails and phones essentially treating it like an unpaid R2. They’re slowly learning.

Just to clarify. My post is not intended to complain or badmouth the company. I feel it’s best that hopefuls understand the current climate. Expect 64 hours of credit and uncertain upgrade times. Be happily surprised if you make out better.

As everyone really should always plan. Let's keep in mind this is all perspective based too. Those who live a lifestyle that banks on crediting an average of 80+ hours/month are the 747 guys who are upset that they might only be getting min guarantee now. The 767 guys wish there was anything close to that. With that said, its a pretty good deal to fly 25 hours and get paid for 64—but remember the 76 lines often now include the late night CVG hub turns that are not as favorable.

As for the 777, we'll see how the credit per line develops over the next few months. There currently is one Polar route that has been picked up, with 2-4 other Southern routes in the cards coming up. In two months we'll have three airplanes on the line and at least five by the end of the year with a ton in the OE pipeline. Could very easily start crediting above min guarantee, especially with the current ones being in the 58-62 hr range/mo

ANC airport parking

Any ANC home based pilots on here by chance who might be willing to PM me? FNG here trying to figure out if we have any good cheap/free airport parking options there.

Thanks!

A few guys park at ASI, but they have been salty about us taking their parking spots lately. Pretty much only other option is to pay somewhere near airport if you don’t live in ANC.

Thanks! I drive in from the Valley, so I've been going over to the Park Ride and Fly lot but it starts adding up after a while. Oh well, good to know.

This above is spot on.

I have said for years that you have to budget for min guarantee at your pay rate, I you need more than that then perhaps you have to take a look at your spending / lifestyle. There are no guarantees in this business.
