We haven’t even seen the proposal, yet, so I’ll reserve judgement til then. Our NC knows what we expect and knows not to send out a flaming piece of garbage. If we don’t like it, the group sends it back.

You mean like they did with the last one?? I will guarantee you 95%+ just looked at compensation, went oh I like that and voted yes then spent 4 years complaining how the company is getting away with one thing and another due to very poor and vague contract language. Without protections from scheduling especially and a worthwhile pension it should be a resounding NO. It worked for management before and I'm sure they hope again.

From my conversations with other K4 pilots I think most people agree with you. The issue becomes what is good enough and is it better to wait for the big step or take baby steps to get there.

Thats because the union refuses to file any grievances.

Yep.....citing how much money it costs. Also how it damages company/union relationship. Then go on to brag about the lack of grievances. Not diminishing the amount of work our union volunteers do....but it’s a special kind of culture among our union leaders.

There’s some new guys in town, so we’ll see if that culture improves.

There have only been 2 valid grievancws in the last 2 years. One is on the books right now. The other was deferred so it could be integrated into new contract language. The problem we have is a fundamental lack of understanding of the CBA among pilots. Most think they're entitled to something that isn't protected by the CBA, and the ALPA attorneys will not file grievances with no merit. We are also lucky to have a DO who fixes problems before they get to grievance.
