grammar

Does anyone on this thread know the difference between a possesive pronoun and a contraction?
I'm a dumb Nodak but learned in fourth grade that "your" and "you're" aren't interchangeable.
Somebody had to say it

There's knowing, and their's bothering to proof read.

Very diffrent.

Plus, you come back after a day or so and it doesn't let you edit it when you do notice it.

Yes yes, when I'm considering the changing of a lifelong career, the first thing on my mind is the avoidance of the present participle with my indirect objective nouns.

Then I try to make a sentence with the word "ergo" and "I.E."

I tried to make the career change, I finished my commercial certs. about a year ago and was unsuccessful at finding a timebuilding job. The flight instructing job market was in just as bad of shape, so I bypassed my cfi training and went back to my old job. With such a severe recession the possibility of another two years of stagnation is becoming more likely and working a low paying timebuilding job that long isnt worth it. Hopefully my financial freedom will be worth the risk of not being as high time as counterparts.

Sometimes "waking up" is best done sooner than later. You are fortunate to have this realization right now before you go on blowing thousands of dollars towards something you aren't sure of. I was in your shoes just a couple of years ago but forged ahead using loans. I have some money left to pick up my ME rating and some time building, but do I really want to spend it on that?

I've come to realize that what I really enjoy about flying is the traveling part, experiencing new places, meeting interesting people, the view, sunrise and sunsets. My favorite part about actually flying the plane are T.O.s and LDGs, otherwise the in between is a snoozer.

Reassess what it is that draws you to aviation and see if you can duplicate it in another way. You can make good money and have a great schedule being an optometrist, dentist, financial planner, or teacher. That way you can still be a part of the aviation community without pinching pennies or living in a crash-pad with 10 other people.

"Reaching the top" is personal and depends on the person. It used to be the airlines. Now it's whatever makes you happy in your homelife!

Well said, That is true for a lot of people who are still flying and for those who are no longer flying and moved on to other career opportunities.

That is very true - "the top" does mean different things for different people; but Airhoss was responding to a specific person and their views of what "the top" were - or still are.
