CDL anyone?
Looking for someone with a CDL who fits the profile of a pilot (if you know what I mean). Educated, attention to detail, light mechanical background, willing to relocate, work odd hours, good driving record, reliable etc.
PM me for details....

What class and endorsements are you after? Class A with tanker, passenger, hazmat; or Class B with many of the same options? I still have my class A/B after all these years although the hazmat has long since lapsed. There is a stiff recurrent training element associated with fuel trucks since a couple of tankers caught fire inside tunnels in the '90s.

I am not sure what a medical is here, and US laws have changed since the mid-90s when I was a 28 year old buckaroo driving big rigs through the night across America and Canada. But an air brake endorsement goes with any Class A license, no need to specify one separately. Trucking employers look for recency the same as pilot employers do. I find this a bit odd personally, because who could drive a big rig for ten plus years and not be sure how airbrake pedals react, ever stop fearing an air pressure drop at any time during the waking day, or stop hearing the high pitch turbine sound as it whines into 80mph cruise. Or the g-force of an 85,000 pound rig shifting through the West Virginia mountains fearing short passage to obliteration.

You might consider going to Williston ND or west Texas - Odessa / Midland and drive water / sand truck for the oil boom. 70-90 K working your behind off. Do that for a year and have your money for flight school. Heard it is difficult to find a place to live though. Just an idea for you.
