Wish you the best of luck and happy tailwinds Dactl-FO. I think you have obtained some serious wisdom in all those years of cruising around the sky, because Knowing when to hold-em and when to play your cards and when to walk away is a lesson many of us never learn.

Dactl, best wishes. The number of people I know that are leaving the cockpit grows month by month. It's not as scary as it sounds, so they say. I've kicked around the idea myself.

Words of wisdom, Fluglehrer. Aviation isn't the be-all and end-all path to happiness.

No, it's more of a way of life.

The truth for me... I can't imagine any other line of work outside of flying and aircraft maintenance.

Congrats to you for moving on and not becoming an old crusty FE like some other poster on this thread. I recently came to the same conclusion with my career. Heres to seeing you on the outside!

It only took you ten years to gain a whopping 125 hours of PIC experience to figure that out, after overpaying twice over for flight training, then begging for a way out of your loans. That's what happens when you try to run before you can walk, and cut to the head of the line. Tell us about the "pogues" again. Were they crusty, too?

Do you always wake up on the "wrong" side of the bed?

You obviously aren't familiar with the poster to whom I responded.
